Dafina Moore was born in New York City and spent most of her youth in northern New Jersey where she currently lives with her husband and two daughters.  A lifelong reader and writer she was always too shy to share her work but has decided life is too short to not give it a shot. Dafina is a lover of horror, Halloween, and a good ghost story on a cool autumn night with either a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a cup of hot cider.

Dafina has completed her bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University and in addition to this blog and a short story, she is working on her first novel, a supernatural story with a biracial protagonist, another topic near and dear to her as a mixed race woman of color herself. Previously, she was published in the poetry anthology Between the Darkness and Light: The International Library of Poetry. She hopes to bust myths about mixed race people through personal stories and thoughts, show that we are all human, and hopefully scare you to boot.
